HIS Blood Covering

There are several communities here in North Carolina and around the nation mourning the death of many teachers who have lost their lives to Covid-19.

I refuse to take Jesus' efficacious blood coverage for granted. Each day I teach 21 children face-to-face and in the midst of it all, God has kept me Covid-19 free!

In Luke 17:11-19 Jesus heals ten men with leprosy and only one came back to say thank you. I am that one that came back to say "Thank You!

Thank GOD for the Blood!

Louretha McKethan, Bethel Christian Assembly

I was on my way to my neighbor’s house who lives 3 miles away. When exiting my neighborhood, there is a dumpster for the tenants to empty their trash. As I approached the dumpster, that is less than a mile away from my house, a young lady was sitting in her car waiting to enter onto the main road. Due to where the dumpster is positioned, the driver could not see me, so she proceeded onto the highway right in front of me! I was too close to stop! I hit her right on the driver’s side of the car. My car ended up in the woods and I hit a tree. My left knee jammed into the steering wheel. And, the left side of my face was numb. By the time I got to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, my eye was closed shut and my knee was really swollen. My body was in shock.

The doctor wrote an order for my left eye to be x-rayed. The outcome was my eye had an orbital floor fracture. As a result of the accident, I sustained numbness to my face that disabled me from having any feelings whenever I brushed or flossed my teeth. I was also unable to walk for three weeks! On October 4th, I was rushed back to Cape Fear Valley Hospital due to blood draining from my eye. I was then scheduled several appointments with an Ophthalmologist (eye specialist), Orthopedic (knee specialist) and an Otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat). The ENT doctor referred me to UNC Chapel Hill, thinking I may have needed surgery on my eye. But God! My last appointment at Chapel Hill was November 24th and I did not need surgery! HALLELUJAH!! My last visit to the eye specialist is May 10, 2021. As of this day, the left side of my face is still a little numb, but I can feel my teeth! My eye still twitches and aches occasionally, however, I am truly grateful. Thank God for The Blood!
