Heartfelt Thanks

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all the love and support that you have given to our family, during the time we mourn the loss of our patriarch, Brother Richard R. Jones; Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. We would like to thank you for all the meals because this allowed us to focus on the preparation of Brother Jones' Home-going Celebration. The food provided the nourishment to give us the strength to keep us going. Thank you for coming by and checking on us, making sure we were ok. Thank you for being on the ready to respond to any request that we may have needed.

However, most of all, we would like to say, thank you to all the Bethel Christian Assembly Church Family for all your prayers. It was your prayers that kept our father alive long enough for our family to travel from all over the country to be by his side. It was your prayers, in spite of the fact that countless number of people have died alone during this pandemic and families are being denied visitation, your prayers allowed our daddy not to be alone, as the Lord called him home. It was your prayers that allowed fourteen (14) people to walk past the ICU sign "NO VISITORS, COVID 19, NO EXCEPTIONS" to say our final goodbyes. It was your prayers that allowed all of us to be in the ICU room by his side as he breathed his last breath.

It was through God’s Grace, Love and Mercy that made this all possible. God provided us the comfort and strength to get through this difficult time. Never was the power of prayer so prevalent and, YES, prayers do GET answered! If anyone ever questions the Power of Faith, the Power of Prayer or the Power of GOD, please tell them our family's story - "NO VISITORS, COVID 19, NO EXCEPTIONS."

This is how God showed His love among us.

He sent His one and only Son into the world

that we might live through Him.

I Joh4:9 NIV
